Question-45: In CDP Private Cloud Base for Hadoop, It is generally better to have more average nodes than fewer super nodes.

  1. True
  2. False

Answer:

Exp: Generally speaking, the more drives a node has, the lower the cost per TB. However, the larger the quantity of data stored on one node, the longer will the re-replication time be, if that node goes down. Hadoop clusters are designed to have many nodes. It is generally better to have more average nodes than fewer super nodes. This has a lot to do with both data protection, as well as increased parallelism for distributed computation engines such as MapReduce and Spark.
